Job Description

Assist in creating a strong, unified image for Lehman Brothers in Europe, ensuring that all internal and external initiatives are co-ordinated within the Corporate Communications function on a global basis.

To assist the Executive Directors on personal assistant duties: including answering phones, diary management, meeting arrangement, travel booking, expenses and email management etc.

To assist the Media Relations and Internal Communications team on day-to-day activities, logistics and monitoring of European PR Agencies. To take part in media projects and event logistics, when required.

Manage and improve the process and morning dissemination of news / press cuttings to the European organization and to specific deal-driven banking teams.

Assist in prioritizing inbound media and journalist requests and enquiries.

Assist with writing and dissemination of press releases and aid in compiling and organizing of press materials and press packs.

Manage analyst print media where appropriate and analyst broadcast procedures, appearance and monitoring.

Maintain all Corporate Communications media lists in conjunction with external agencies (eg appointments releases, sector journalists)

Helping prepare for and attending corporate media events in the UK
(i.e. Credit conference, annual media dinner).

Maintain media libraries and Corporate Communications materials including storage/filing

Work in conjunction with internal media relations when required.

Position
Requirements:

Previous administration experience will be essential for picking up the team needs quickly.

This position would suit a highly motivated and organised individual who is keen to learn more about and develop Corporate Communications skills within an Investment Bank.

Ability to work quickly, with great attention to detail and accuracy and experience of working to deadlines, using own initiative when required

Good communication skills, both written and oral

Good PC skills and abilities

Ability to establish strong, positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels

Ability to respond quickly to internal and external client demands.

Willingness to work as part of a small communications team and assume responsibility within in a flat work environment.
