Job Description

My client requires an enthusiastic planner, either about to graduate or having recently graduated, to join a busy Development Control Section.

The magistrates are no longer responsible for Licensing Act it is now the responsibility of the council. Therefore the role will involve Licence applications, planning research, consultations, attending committee meetings and general administration,

We are looking for able communicators, with good interpersonal and negotiating skills. A proven ability to achieve targets is essential, as are a willingness to work under pressure and as part of a team.

Based in attractive new offices, in the heart of the city, have just invested in new IT, and are committed to a challenging Best Value Action Plan for service improvement, following a successful pilot review.

This position is a 6 month contract with possibility of extension.
