Job Description
My client is seeking a Technician to work in their Infrastructure group in London. The work will involve small and large scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects including highway and drainage design, car park layouts and junction design.
Requirements:
• Relevant industry experience as a civil engineering technician
• Appropriate technical qualification such as HNC/HND in Civil Engineering
• Be a competent user of AutoCAD and 12D - (12D not essential)
• Good computer and IT skills
• Good communication skills, experience in dealing with external clients
Key responsibilities:
• Undertake detailed design
• Assist in the develop systems and procedures to ensure that the CAD System is used effectively
• Provide guidance and advice to engineers and technicians alike
• Prepare technical schedules
• Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met
• Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the client are achieved
