A reputable multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking to recruit a Principal Bridge Engineer. You will be responsible for both the technical and managerial delivery of projects, you’ll lead a team of engineering and technician staff in the design bridges for major infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas. It’s an important role that will involve technically managing a number of less experienced staff, developing their skills and ensuring work is delivered within agreed budgets and timescales.


You’ll be a Chartered Engineer in ICE, IStructE or equivalent, with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. You’ll have produced detailed designs for large post-tensioned bridges to British Standards and / or AASHTO and have managed teams of engineers and technicians in the production of design for such works. Added to all this, you’ll bring an intuitive understanding of the behaviour of structures with the ability to build positive and open relationships not only with your team but with clients too.
