Are you a Chartered Engineer with significant experience within the field of Highway design and looking for a new challenge?

Our Client is looking to recruit a Principal Highway Engineer to undertake and supervise various aspects of highway design on large Highways Improvement schemes. You will be responsible for the management of detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings and documents, produced independently or by other team members.

You will have been employed in a Highway Design Office and worked on medium to large scale highway design projects preferably at tender and detailed design stages. You will have significant experience in the management of several aspects of design that may include, but not be limited to: highway alignment and junctions, safety barrier, drainage, pavement, traffic signs, lighting design etc. Will be familiar in the application of the Highway Agency's DMRB and MCDHW documents. Through this work would have gained good project management experience.

Essential Skills:
· Experienced in the use of MX and/or
· Experienced in the use of Windes/Microdrainage
· Experience in the use of Autocad is preferable but not essential.
· Ability to manage and lead Teams of Engineers and Technicians
· Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels and other parties.
· Ability to work independently and plan work for others
