Are you looking for a new challenge within Highway Design?

Our Client is looking for a Highway Engineer to be based in their Southampton Office to undertake, and support the preparation of, various aspects of highway design on large Highways Improvement schemes. You will be responsible for detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings and documents, produced independently or by other team members.

Ideally you will have experience of medium to large scale highway design projects preferably at tender and detailed design stages. You will have experience in several aspects of design that may include, but not be limited to highway alignment and junctions, safety barrier, drainage, pavement, traffic signs, lighting design etc. You will also be familiar in the application of the Highway Agency's DMRB and MCDHW documents.

Required Skills:

· Experienced in the use of MX and/or
· Experienced in the use of Windes/Microdrainage
· Experienced in the use of Autocad.
· Ability to supervise technicians and engineers
· Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels and other parties.
