Job Description
My client requires a Planning Policy & Project Officer to work within a professional team dealing with strategic planning, transportation, housing, urban design and countryside. You will monitor and review responsibilities for the Local Development Framework, Housing Strategy, Local Transportation Plan, Urban Design Framework and ensure the delivery of relevant strategies, plans and reports.
Duties will involve:
Working with others internally and externally at the review and monitoring of the UDP (and subsequent Local Development Framework).
Working with, and where appropriate, leading on strategic schemes, delivered on a multi disciplinary project basis.
Working with existing and potential partners to deliver current projects set out in the Development Plan.
A degree and experience of working in town planning and the ability to write effective briefs is essential. Along with experience in the production of technical analysis, report writing etc.
Full current driving license or access to a means of mobility support
