Job Description
Due to an expanding workload at our clients office they are seeking a graduate Environmental Scientist to join this dynamic team.
The Broadland Flood Alleviation Project (BFAP) includes sites of national and international wildlife importance. The Broads has the equivalent to National Park status and, in addition to being an area of high biodiversity, also supports a thriving tourist industry as well as homes and private businesses.
They are currently contributing to the delivery of the BFAP 20 year £100 million Public Private Partnership (PPP) flood defence project for the Environment Agency. In addition they are looking to expand their portfolio of work with both the EA and other clients.
Key Objectives
The principal function of this position is to:
To work as part of the Environment Team designing and delivering best practice mitigation
Surveying and recording areas for possible habitat creation/protection/enhancement in this environmentally sensitive area;
Monitoring and reporting on the environmental aspects of construction works;
Contributing to the production of planning documentation;
The dissemination of findings through reports, statements, articles and talks;
You will be given increasing responsibility commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
The priorities of this role include:
· Assisting in desk and field surveys that are used for EIA, statement and report production for planning purposes
· Dissemination of information through the production of reports, articles for publication and presentations
· Active participation in site investigation, monitoring and reporting
· Contributing to the design and delivery of habitat creation and enhancements
· Liaising with the team, client, consultees and statutory bodies
· Flexibility and commitment
Job Requirements
You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge. These points should align with the key areas of responsibility:

The successful candidate should possess an EIA/Ecology biased degree..
