Setting Out Engineer – Drainage. Working on a new residential and commercial development the Contractor is currently employing Engineers on ground preparation, earthworks, drainage and general infrastructure initially and needs an additional Engineer to work on the drainage works, pile caps and below ground operations, within the structures that are just starting.

We need an Engineer / Land Surveyor who is conversant with modern survey equipment and is prepared to not only set out the pegs for line and level but to also ensure that the men on site are aware of their relevance. You must be able to keep site diaries, recording daily activities and occurrences, raise RFI’s as relevant, working with the Project Manager, who is Engineer trained, to ensure safe working practices are adhered to and generally aim for a successful project.

Qualifications in a Civil Engineering discipline or Land Surveying field will be equally acceptable so long as you are prepared to get your boots dirty in the field. Communication levels in both oral and written English must be adequate to ensure clear dialogue between the Engineer and Project Manager, Foreman and labourers to maintain Safety on site.

Potentially a very long run of freelance work. All applicants must have a current CSCS card and be legally entitled to live and work in the UK.
