Piling Engineer – Marine Piling
Central London
Contract £20 + per hr

Our client requires Engineers with minimum 2 years Piling experience for a major project based in central London. The project has long term prospects for the right candidates.

About you

•Proficient with all site paperwork
•Able to liaise and manage sub-contractors
•Be able to work as part of a team and drive the project
•Confident with aspects of piling, earthworks and groundwork's

Responsibilities

•Must be able to work independently.
•To maintain good working relationship with Resident Engineer and clients representative
•To ensure that the specification, drawings, contract and sub-contract documents contain sufficient and accurate information so that the works can proceed as per the programme
•Familiar with concrete calculations
•Check works are completed as required by the specification
•To manage the installation of temporary works and health and safety on site
•Prepare short-term programmes as required.
•Keep a full and accurate daily site diary
•Ensure that proper records are kept and carefully filed.

Requirements

•Previous experience in the Piling industry with major contractors.
•Previous experience in groundwork's CFA and marine piling.
•Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation
•Experience in implementing quality systems
•Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent

To fill this position you must have a drive to succeed, be confident and happy out on site and able to work un-supervised. We are not looking for someone that is going to try and run the job from the office, this is a site based position so you will be willing and happy to be mixing it on site.
