Job Description
Role:
Reporting to the Division Manager, you will manage a team of Engineers and Technicians undertaking the design and procurement of trunk road and Local Authority schemes. You will be required to ensure that projects are delivered within the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the client. You will monitor project finances on an on-going basis as well as assisting in forward financial and operational planning of project and programmes. A key aspect of the role is the mentoring and development of staff through assigning challenging tasks and providing support and coaching as required.
Candidate Requirements:
•Degree qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
•Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with extensive roads design experience.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Proven a track record in the successful delivery of major roads schemes from feasibility through to construction.
•Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the DMRB and Statutory procedures as well as the current forms of contract and scheme procurement.
•Project management and team management skills.
• Client relationship management skills are required to enable you to contribute to the development of the business.
