Job Description

Site Engineer – Infrastructure. 2 new projects that are just getting started; on the ground at Basingstoke and commencing at the end of the month at Andover. There are opportunities for 6 months plus on both projects.

The Work primarily involves infrastructure and adopted roads. You will be involved in Land clearance, Excavation, Drainage, Groundworks, Roads and Highway construction and must understand the technical and construction sequences involved.

The Contractor is well established in the Civils and Groundworks area and has been working for many years in the south of England, covering Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Sussex, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Dorset.

Skills. You should be qualified in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying at a tertiary level, though many years of practical experience will be suitable if you are good at your work. You will be expected to be able to set out accurately and at a productive level in order to keep the project moving forward. Fully conversant with modern survey equipment, able to keep good daily records, responsible for QA/QC records and with a positive attitude to Health & Safety. A CSCS card is essential.

Location. Since both the projects are out of the town centres a car driver would be preferred, though assistance may be available in travel from the nearest station.
