The construction of the largest current tunnelling project in the UK is now underway at the notorious Devils Punchbowl in Hindhead on the A3.
This two kilometre twin tunnel is set to eliminate congestion over the pass which is infamous for heavy delays to commuters travelling into the south of England.

Construction is underway from both ends of the tunnel using (TBMs) Tunnel Boring Machines and then is to be lined with Shotcrete. (SCL)

My client is in need of an Tunnel Agent to oversee the construction of this prestigious project.

Answering to the Construction manager you will be charged with general Site Agent activities controlling a number of engineers working within three teams on a 24 hour shift pattern.

You will be required to work on a normal working day pattern and will leave appropriate Shift team Leaders to carry on Agent control in your absence. (night shift)

Ideally the correct candidate will have exceptional experience working in this field with previous Shotcrete and man management experience.

Relevant qualifications and CSCS card will be required.

Due to the nature of works the role is negotiable towards package with the ideal candidate joining the team on a permanent basis. However a contract rate can be negotiated.
