Title: Associate Traffic/ Transport Engineer

My client, a top tier consultancy are seeking to appoint an Associate Traffic Engineer to work in their Milton Keynes or Leicester offices to assist with an expanding workload in their busy traffic and transportation section. They are are appointed by both private and public sector Clients engaged in a wide selection of projects. Typically these may involve:

· Major public transport and highway scheme design and appraisal

· Master planning and transport assessments of major land-use developments

· Multi-modal transport modelling and economic assessments

· Intelligent Transport Systems scheme design and approval

· Travel Plan development and implementation

· Road safety studies

· Traffic management studies

· Public transport studies

· Policy and strategy development including Local Transport Plans

· Consultation and Public Enquiries

As Associate Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in some or all of the above fields, be computer literate and have a good working knowledge of junction and/or network modelling software.

Key Competencies

Skills:

Good analytical and report writing/data presentation skills are essential. Experience in use of some or all of the following software is desirable; ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, TRANSYT, SATURN, COBA, TUBA, QUADRO, PARAMICS, VISION, TRICS, GIS, AutoCAD.

Qualifications:

MSc in Transportation Studies, preferably Chartered with extensive experience in the UK.

Personal Qualities:

Highly motivated, enthusiastic team player with good communication skills.
