Job Description

Our Client, a leading International multi-disciplinary construction Consultancy, requires an Associate Director / Project Director to join their London team. Their offices are based in Holborn. This is an excellent opportunity to work with blue chip property companies including the likes of Hammerson, Land Securities, Grovesnor, Morley Fund Management and Warner Estates.

The successful candidate will have a construction related university degree and a professional qualification / Chartership. He/she will have significant experience managing £multi-million Retail and Mixed Use projects from inception to completion. This team is one of the market leader’s operating in the consultancy sector. This team is made up of predominantly Project Managers and Cost Managers working across the development cycle.

The 65 strong team (of which 25 are project managers) offers development, project management and cost management advice across the whole life cycle of both large retail led mixed use projects and major change programmes in existing assets.

You will focus on the delivery of projects as well as the development of key relationships with both clients and also internally with our Client, as well as ensuring the highest standards of project performance and delivery with a view to optimising repeat business.

This role is all about delivery on key projects for key retail clients. With this focus you will also be expected to build on these relationships with an eye on developing further revenue streams on existing projects, and by selling the suite of company services across the whole development life cycle.

You will:
• Lead on projects that are retail lead but mixed use (e.g. with residential, office leisure etc)
• Have particular strength in project managing the development process throughout the entire life cycle – i.e. from inception through to completion
• Have the flexibility and management capability to lead and motivate both internal and external teams and extract maximum value for our clients
• Manage internal and external teams in the delivery of their services
• Look to potentially grow and wrap a retail delivery team around you

You will:
• Come from preferably a consultancy background, or alternatively a clearly defined role within an organisation where your experience and skill set is closely aligned to the needs of the company Retail offering.
• Have key strengths on the delivery of mixed use but predominantly retail led projects
• Possess strong client facing skills
• Be solution driven
• Have a good knowledge of the development process
• Have good contractual skills and knowledge
• Possess clear communication skills both written and oral
• Have an ability to think strategically, but with an eye for detail
• A demonstrable track record of delivering large mixed used and retail schemes as well as unlocking development potential for their clients projects
• Relevant professional qualifications

Salary and benefits are commensurate with the candidate’s skills and experience.
