Our client is an international consulting business, based in the UK. We provide an integrated range of engineering, environmental, planning and management consulting services to the transport, property, development, environmental, water and renewable energy sectors.

About the Role

We have an immediate requirement in Dubai for a manager to join us, we will also requrie candidates to be based in the UK, Basingstoke or Chesterfield.
The role is within the Natural Resources division which has a large amount of it's work based overseas. The commercial manager will be required to work closely with the project delivery teams and assist in the successful commercial delivery of single and multi-discipline projects. The post holder will be involved in all aspects of the project from pre tender qualification to completion and close out. A significant part of the role will be working and reporting at divisional level. Commercial risk management is a key part of this role. There will be UK and limited international Travel.

The purpose of the role is to monitor and control commercial risk and to ensure good commercial practice is followed in delivery of complex engineering design projects. You will have responsibilities in the following areas;

Tendering
Contract Award
Project Implementation

As well as the above you will be required to manage reports and also ensure compliance with sub-consultant regualtions.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrable skills in project management particularly change control and commercial risk, knowledge of contract Law/ Terms and Conditions and experience in financial management and reporting.
You will have a degree qualification or equivalent in a related discipline and or APM/ RICS qualification.

You will have good IT skills and be able to work with an array of clients and internal staff.
You will be confident and a good team player and importantly willing to travel overseas.
