Job Description
We are looking for experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors & Quantity Surveyors to join our existing teams to assist in the commercial management of internal and external contracts from feasibility through to completion.
Key duties will include:
- Monitor, review, analyse and control all contract costs for projects
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of contract performance on a contract by contract basis.
- Management of subcontractors.
- Prepare client applications for payment and associated reporting.
- Carry out pricing of variation orders/change requests.
- Prepare interim and final accounts.
- Handle and manage claims and disputes from both clients and sub-contractors.
- Compare actual costs against planned programme, report and investigate variances.
- Assist with tender preparation and negotiation
You will be self motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, with a minimum level of supervision. Problem solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are required for this role.
The successful candidates must have considerable quantity surveying experience with an HNC/HND in quantity surveying or construction. Whilst not essential, experience of working within the rail industry would be a distinct advantage. You will also be ambitious with a desire to develop yourself and the quantity surveying function.
