Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will be involved in all Electrical aspects of project delivery including initial design development; outline and detailed design, procurement and site liaison. The role will be part of an established integrated team and be involved in the conception to completion of each project.

Principal duties and accountabilities will include:

Developing cost effective solutions to a range of Electrical engineering problems and issues within specified timescales. These will enable both the design solution to be agreed and a final cost that is commercially viable to our client
Specifying materials/parts/processes from that will ensure that the final design solution will meet both technical specification and functionality
Act as Commissioning Lead on all related projects, responsible for ensuring that all commissioning documentation is developed and actioned from project inception to completion.
Requirements

Academic and professional qualifications:

HNC or HND Electrical Engineering minimum qualification
Ideally CEng & IEE 16th Edition
Background and experience:

Previous consultancy or contractor background within the water industry
Design specification development preparation.
Sub-contract liaison and understanding the management and implementation of the chosen designs
Working in integrated engineering project teams ideal
Knowledge base:

Broad range of Electrical equipment knowledge, design, specification writing and project implementation

Skills:

Ability to balance multiple tasks and achieve deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, must be able to assist and produce well written reports and communicate effectively with team members, sub consultants, clients and other alliance partners
Personal attributes:

The candidate should be a self motivated effective team player. Experience of contracting and partnering is preferred.

The work would be office based, but frequent site visits across North Wales will be required. Car ownership/full driving license essential
