Purpose of the Job

Contribute to the continuing growth and success of our clients firm by winning and delivering high quality project work predominantly for the Transport Modelling group.

Principal Accountabilities

The role requires a self motivated, high calibre individual with a strong background in transport modelling and transport planning. You will act as a technical leader and project manager on a range of commissions.

You will lead / participate in all aspects of project work including:

· Technical control
· Producing proposals and tenders for work
· Liaising with clients
· Project Management
· Business and Network Development
· Training of Junior Staff

Assist with projects delivered by other CB groups / offices.

Comply with agreed administrative and QMS standards and procedures

Undertake such other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be directed by the line manager.

Main Working Relationships

Reporting to the Associate Director

Working with other offices and skill groups

Member of the Transport Modelling Group

· Appropriate experience in transport modelling

· Sound grasp of analysis techniques and have familiarity with some of the following types of model; strategic, multi modal modelling, micro-simulation, demand, public transport and pedestrian

· Ability to prepare proposals, reports and other key documents

· Working knowledge of current modelling packages such as VISSIM, VISUM, SATURN, EMME and TRIPS.

· You will also have appropriate knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, guidelines and practices.

· You will have good communication skills with high standard of spoken and written English
