How does working on some of the worlds most challenging and exciting projects currently in progress sound? Our client is a world-class engineering and construction business. They are heavily involved in a number of major projects in the UK, EMEA, the US and South East Asia.
How about the Aquatic Centre for the 2012 Olympics which will provide the swimming and diving facilities??? Located in the south east corner of the Olympic Park, the Aquatics Centre will be the ‘gateway' to the Park during the Games. It will include a 50m competition pool, a 25m competition Diving pool and a 50m warm-up training pool. Water Polo will be held next to it in a temporary 5,000-seat venue with competition and warm-up pools.

The role

Working for Principal Contractor managing Structural Steel Subcontractor
Attendance and input to design meetings
Assessment of sub-contractors method statements and work plans
Liaison with Clients project managers
Day to day management of interface with Subcontractor
Ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements

Candidate Specification

CITB 5 day SMSTS
Crane Coordinator training
CSCS card
Educated to degree level in engineering discipline
Ideally Chartered Engineer MIStructE or MICE
Sufficient experience of managing large, complex structural steel works.
