Planner – Main Contractor – London – Fit Out

The Company…

One of the UK's leading construction companies is heavily recruiting due to organic growth. With a turn over of around £800 million through out the group this main contractor is actively looking for a Planner for their Fit Our division.

The Fit Our department for this respected main contractor works in a wide range of sectors including commercial, retail, Leisure, and the public sector. Project values range from £8million - £150 million. They have completed some of the largest, complex, and most prestigious Fit Out jobs through out London and the South East as well as standard Fit Out programmes.

The successful Planner will be professional, pro active, determined, ambitious, hard working, and have excellent people skills.

The ideal experience required for this position:

·A construction main contractor background
·Good knowledge and understanding of construction processes
·Professional Qualifications desirable/advantageous
·Experience in programming design & build and traditional contracts (lump sum and 2 stage tenders)
·Extensive experience in computer based programming methods
·Adept knowledge in other computer packages (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD)

The Role:

·To manage pre & post tender production stage programmes
·To manage pre-production and programme planning at tender stage
·To develop and assist tender stage programming
·To develop logic linked, critical path tender stage programmes
·To obtain all relevant documentation for programme development
·To attend pre-qualification, post qualification and post tender interviews
·To attend tender settlement meetings with Operational Managers
·To work closely with Estimators/Contracts Managers/Design & Build Managers and Site staff
·To analyse and develop construction methodology
·To keep updated on modern methods of construction to assist bid process
