A leading consultancy company with a reputation of providing a consistently high standard of service with an excellent and enviable record of success is currently looking for a Minerals Planner to work in the Cardiff office in order to strengthen their minerals planning capability. The Company offers mineral planning services throughout the UK from its network of offices, with key capabilities including; Environmental Impact Assessment, Environment Act Reviews and Minerals Development Plan representations. With over 3000 staff located in more than 30 offices, services to a diverse range of clients in the public and private sectors are provided. The company provides a high quality minerals planning service, which is based upon a close client working relationship, and the prompt and cost effective delivery of the clients brief.
The role will involve work on the full range of mineral planning services provided by the Office, with particular reference to coordinating environmental impact assessments associated with mineral projects. The successful candidate will be expected to handle a portfolio of projects, under the guidance of the project Director, but to be responsible for the day to day management of those projects, including client liaison, and negotiations with regulatory bodies as appropriate. Qualities required for the position are highly developed written and oral skills, a pro-active attitude and a well-rounded personality. The ability to work successfully as part of a team will also be valued.
