A reputable medium-sized Design Consultancy looking for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team of experts in Central London. With grand plans to expand the team, numbers currently stand at around 20-strong for Mechanical and Electrical plus a small CAD team. Projects are interesting and varied, ranging from The Olympics to a 500-block residential development being erected in the City which will be the main focus of work for successful applicant. Winner of numerous building awards, company is dedicated to sustainable design and renewable energy in all of its work, thus you will be at the forefront of modern consulting methods.

As Principal Engineer you will be assigned the following roles:

-Producing detailed design for HVAC, calculate heat-loss, heat gain for the building, in line with Part-L building regulations
-Leading the Mechanical side of project team, ensuring work is delivered on time and to standard
-Liaising with company's client and contractors on-site, and acting as a representative of the business at all times

To be considered for this role you should:

-Be at least HND qualified and be affiliated with CIBSE or related body (i.e. IMechE)
-Have strong experience in leading a project team and a flair for quick decision-making and troubleshooting
-Be proficient in the use of Hevacomp system
