Project Manager, Infrastructure, RC and Civils. Excellent opportunity to get in at the start on a new £16m infrastructure project with associated RC structures below and above ground.
Qualified ideally to tertiary level with a Civil Engineering related degree or qualification you will be used to managing and reporting on:
• Health & Safety
• Progress
• Programmes
• Budget
• Quality
The Contractor operates nationally and has over 30 years experience in the Infrastructure, Civil Engineering, Construction and RC Structures sectors.
This is a new project involving demolition, excavation, deep drainage, piling, moving on to pile caps and traditional ground-works, RC structures and retaining walls. Extensive areas of hard and soft landscaping will complete the scope of works.
A Project Manager with a broad Engineering background capable of organising the full scope of works and focusing on the Engineering elements of this site through the various phases is sought. A tertiary level Engineering qualification would be ideal. Previous experience with one of the recognised RC frame contractors or an established Groundworks contractor would be preferred.
Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager or Director this is an opportunity for a Project Manager to show their skills and gain rapid promotion to larger schemes or for a current No. 2 on a larger project to step up.
You will need good communication skills, be IT literate, able to liaise with the various statutory bodies involved with this work and above all represent the Contractor in a professional manner. Strong client facing skills will be expected. This is a multi-storey development so you must be aware of the constraints and implications of working at heights and with cranes.
Rewards from this contractor are based on an above average salary of £55 plus based on experience and negotiable, plus a good benefits package and the opportunity to earn good completion bonuses.
Requirements include a commitment to work hard and to become involved with the success of a growing Contractor who expects their employees to share in their successes. This is a 20 month project and the Contractor is seeking a committed candidate for the role. Excellent rewards for the right candidate.
