Job Description

The aim of a Consultant within Cobalt Recruitment is to be directly responsible for candidate and client management under the supervision of a Team Leader. In addition they will be able to deliver full and targeted search and contingency assignments with support and supervision of a Team Leader.

The ultimate aim of a Consultant is to be an effective account manager whilst also acting as a proactive business developer. They are to be a provider of market intelligence in their specialist area by reading the press, approaching potential candidates and identifying growth areas to develop.

The Consultant should then be able to confidently discuss current events and trends within the market with candidates and ultimately clients and have the ability to confidently identify opportunities in the market.


Key Responsibilities

Ø To generate personal NFI in line with targets whilst contributing to overall team and company income.

Ø Business generation via the effective management and fostering of existing relationships whilst also identifying and developing new clients / streams of revenues.

Ø Be confident in gathering of market intelligence, whether it be general market news/trends or departmental / organisation mapping.

Ø Candidate generation through headhunting, networking and referrals.

Ø The ability to develop long-term candidate relationships through delivering a consistently high level of service to support long-term repeat business. This is to include a focus on professionalism in all candidate communications (verbal and written) and the build up of candidate databases.

Ø Conduct face-to-face and telephone interviews with potential candidates.

Ø Attend and participate in client meetings.

Ø Ability to manage multiple retained or contingency assignments under the supervision of a Team Leader.

Ø Responsible for maintaining the internal database relating to portfolio of candidates and clients under management. Also, ensuring all communication is documented, as well as ensuring client and candidate profiles are shared and easily accessible by other members of the team.
