A new contract opportunity has arisen with Surrey County Council for a Project Manager. Working for Surrey Highways the main duties will be to project manage schemes from inception to completion overseeing the detailed design produced by the in-house consultant and being largely involved with public consultations and responding to scheme related queries from the public – therefore the right candidates are going to have good correspondence and client/public facing skills.

Roles and Responsibilities will include managing a programme of Capital schemes in the district from preliminary feasibility assessment to design and construction to contribute to the delivery of the objectives set put in the districts Local Transport Plan (LTP). The schemes will fall under the strategies outlined in the LTP and include introducing Road Safety Schemes, Safer Routes to Schools and Traffic Management Schemes. Experience and an understanding of Traffic & Highways Schemes is necessary in order to help provide a high level of technical advice in the development of these projects.
