Job Description
The Forward Planning section deals with a combination of development plan and project work, with particular emphasis on town centre regeneration. The position would ideally suit a recent planning graduate, or similar, who is looking to obtain experience in a varied and interesting working environment.
The principal objectives for the Forward Planning team over the coming year are:
Progression of Woods Mill Area Action
Plan
Progression of guidance on housing restraint
Completion of the Statement of Community Involvement
Completion of Landscape Character Guidance
Preparation of Annual Monitoring Report
Development of the new Goyt Bridge
Progression of Peak Forest Tramway Project
You will have a sound knowledge of the planning system and 2004 Act,
Good report writing & analytical skills, Proficiency in ITC and previous use of mapping software, Ability to work in a team environment and get jobs done and a full driving licence.
