Job Description
My Client is seeking to recruit a Lead Signalling Planner to join their growing team working on a wide variety of railway signalling projects. Reporting to the Head of Projects, the post-holder would be responsible for:
· Development, implementation and maintenance of standardised planning processes and templates throughout the Power business.
· Development and maintenance of fully base lined, resource loaded and costed project programmes for a variety of tenders and projects.
· Leading, managing and motivating a team of Project Planners.
· Acting as a key link between Planning and Project Managers the Lead Planner will also be responsible for highlighting issues, providing solutions to problems and reporting on a set of key performance indicators for the area as a whole.
You will need to demonstrate significant experience in a planning role, ideally gained within the rail industry. In addition, you will also possess the following:
· A measured and well organised approach to work
· Confident communication skills, both in writing and in internal and external correspondence
· Expertise in using Primavera P3e, as well as being a competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
· A positive and enthusiastic approach to challenges and problems
· The ability to manage work to meet varying deadlines
