A reputable design consultancy is seeking an Engineering Modeller who has a passion for 3D work and the analysis of building structures. The use of 3D software is becoming more and more popular in engineering and as an engineering analyst your skills in these areas will be key to the development of those technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for Engineers or Analysts to join their expanding Structural Engineering Design team to support the increased application and use of integrated 3D modelling and analytical work. With science and sustainability shaping structural design this trend is set to continue.

You will be working within a team which has a nationally established reputation in the design of high quality buildings. Your role will be to produce models of building structures for presentation, analytical and construction purposes and to carry out computational analysis of the working stresses and deflections. Current projects include schools, hospitals, colleges, offices and cultural/heritage projects ranging in value from small to multi-million pounds.
Interested candidates should have a background in engineering or mathematics, be degree qualified,(preferably higher degree or equivalent), be an effective communicator with a practical approach and a keen interest in applied mathematics plus have some experience, or theoretical understanding, of CSM and/or CFD. Experience of Finite Element analysis software is essential.
