Job Description

One of leading clients requires a Site Engineer based in London. The role involves the setting out, interpretation of drawings, checking progress and providing measurement information and QA inspections.

The project itself encompasses a range of Heavy Civils, Piling, Reinforced Concrete, Station Refurbishments, Rail Platforms and Bridges.

Role and Responsibilities
*Carry out setting our duties accurately and on time
*General management and co-ordination of digital engineering information
*Setting our of civil engineering and building works on various sites within the
company's operating area
*Land survey and mapping tasks including production of drawings
*Digital computation of construction quantities for tendering and measurement purposes
*Occasional site management support
*Ensures quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with
specification
*Operates and promotes a high standard of health and safety and environment compliance

The ideal candidate will have
*Relevant industry qualifications (HND/HNC/BEng)
*Proven experience of doing a similar role in the construction industry, preferably with
bridges and station refurbishments
*A sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety and legal regulations
*Be fully conversant with the use of robotic total station instruments
*Be experienced and confident in the setting out of earthworks, highways and structures
*Have some experience of AutoCAD
*Have a fundamental understanding of bill of qualities
*Be a team player who can work to demanding deadlines with confidence and autonomy
*Excellent skills in mathematics, IT and mechanics
*The ability to analyse complex problems and assess solutions
*Good project management, communication and financial management skills
*A PTS and relevant CSCS card
