Job Description

One of our leading clients requires a Senior Site Engineer based in Stratford, London. The role requires successful and safe execution of part or all of a project depending on size, requiring planning and programme capability.

The project itself encompasses a range of Heavy Civils, Piling, Reinforced Concrete, Station Refurbishments, Rail Platforms and Bridges

Role and Responsibilities

*Know and implement SHE policies and procedures
*Lead the projects safety performance on site
*Ensure compliance with Environmental policies
*Ensure QA % QC procedures are fully implemented
*Champion quality delivery on site
*Some supervision on site
*Manage site to achieve production targets & carry out daily briefings
*Explain method statements and programmes
*Engage workforce in planning and problem solving
*Manage and supervise site engineers
*Ensure survey equipment is calibrated, maintain site diary and manage TQ, CC and site correspondence
*Produce weekly programmes, method statements, risk assessments, Health & Safety files and as built information

The ideal candidate will have
*Relevant industry qualifications (HND/HNC/BEng)
*Proven experience of doing a similar role
*Sound knowledge of construction methods, health & safety and regulations
*Be fully conversant with the use of robotic total station instruments
*Experienced and confident in the setting out of earthworks, highways and structures
*Some experience of AutoCAD
*A fundamental understanding of bill of quantities
*Excellent skills in maths, IT and mechanics
*Good project management, communication and financial management skills
*Experience of Airports/Rail and working in a Framework environment
*A PTS and relevant CSCS card
