Working for one of the UK's top 100 contractors, you will have responsibility for the day to day management of commercial functions at given locations throughout the company> You will liaise with other management staff as necessary to effectively control various works packages. Some of your typical duties will include:
•Assisting the selection of local tenders to be prepared, manage and submit documentation, advise and agree on 'on-costs', and consider all contractual issues
•Management of contractors, advise and decide on methods of resolving contractual issues and final account settlements.
•Management of production of all applications to ensure that they are issued on time in order to maximise cash flow.
•Ensure variation accounts on all contracts are maintained up to date.
• Liaise with the client in all aspects of the contract
•To accurately monitor expected performance and return on all projects, compare with budget and report back at regular intervals.
•To monitor cash flow and reduce the value of debtors to the company
•Interfacing with clients in order to maintain good relations and maximise recovery.
You need long term experience in commercial management with strong communication skills and previous experience working for a company specialising in Reinforced Concrete Structures. This is a senior role so excellent client facing skills and managing a live workforce are essential as is strong literacy, numeracy and computer skills.

A degree level formal qualification in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying or another relevant field is highly desirable, as will be membership of an internationally recognised professional institute such as the RICS.
