Job Description

Civil Engineers, of Senior Project Engineer or Sub Agent level. Major new Civil, Road and Rail projects coming on stream throughout Australia. A chance to relax after work in a better Bar-B-Q environment, sunny skies and a warmer climate.

Contractors Requirement. Engineers at Section, Senior or Sub Agent level with heavy Civils, Roads, Rail or heavy structures experience. Ideally degree qualified in a Civil Engineering or relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience on major UK projects working for internationally recognised main Contractors such as Balfour Beatty, Nuttall, Carillion, Skanska, McAlpine, Laing O’Rourke or similar Contractors.

The Employer. A Main Contractor with a substantial number of ongoing and new projects in the pipeline, seeking to expand their directly employed workforce.

The Projects. Generally involving aspects of some or all the following; demolition, excavation and piling, perhaps some river or marine work, then large structures such as bridges, substantial retaining walls, abutments, with associated temporary works as required, through to fit out, whilst there may be considerable amounts of external works including road, rail and river diversions.

Your background. You must be able to demonstrate considerable experience in some of the areas described above, be interested in a career opportunity and be keen to become involved in major projects. Strong written and oral communication skills, current technical knowledge, up to date Health & Safety awareness will all be expected. Reference checks will be made to validate your application.
