My Client is seeking a Civil Engineer to help lead and support an increased workload in the Rail section of the Altrincham office's Transportation Department.

The successful candidate will primarily undertake and be involved in the following:
· Site surveys and designs for projects at feasibility, outline and detail design stages for a variety of rail schemes.
· Report writing.
· Undertaking and complete accurate and precise designs and well presented deliverables to timescales agreed with project managers.
· Attendance of design team meetings and participation in meetings with Client organisation
The role is for an enthusiastic individual to work with an existing Civil Engineering team in a multi-disciplined Rail office.

Essential competencies/skills include:
· A minimum HNC/HND Civil Engineering/M Eng or equivalent qualification.
· A minimum of 6 years civil rail design experience.
· Technical design, experience of Form A (outline design) and B (detailed design).
· Communication & Teamwork with ability to work easily within teams, interacting with Client, good written and spoken English.
· AutoCAD/Microstation experience.
· Near Chartered or Chartered Civil Engineer with the ICE or IStructE.
· Personal effectiveness and ability to schedule and prioritise own workload and be involved/active in meetings.
