Principal Contaminated Land Consultant –OXFORD or BIRMINGHAM

An outstanding career opportunity has opened up with one of the UK's most successful and longstanding consultancies. With multidisciplinary offices in the UK and internationally, this consultancy works on some of the most exciting projects the industry has to offer. Projects such as the £390 million Mersey gateway and the outstanding Gateshead millennium bridge are among those in their portfolio.
Due to continued success we are now looking for a Principal Contaminated Land Consultant to play a pivotal role within the environmental team. The successful candidate will be proactive and a lateral thinker, able to identify opportunities to enhance environmental, social and economic elements of projects cost effectively.

This role is a diverse one, and will require a consultant that is technically strong, able to manage and direct projects as well as mentor and develop less senior members of the team.
In addition to your technical capabilities you will also be commercially astute, comfortable developing new business as well as maintaining current client relationships and managing finances.

Successful Candidates are likely to have the following characteristics:

•Good academic background with a relevant environmental degree
•Further academic qualifications (e.g. MA or MSc) will be beneficial (though).
•Experience of working on multiple concurrent commissions, and representing the company to clients
•A strong team player
