Role & Responsibility

•Develop the WBS structure for programmes
•Produce resource and cost loaded Civils programmes for Client Approval paying due regard to the Interfaces between Civils and other disciplines
•Update & monitor progress on programmes during execution phase and produce EVA metrics (SPI/CPI etc)
•Identify areas on the project that require attention for the successful delivery of the project
•Produce progress reports
•Provide training to Engineers on the principles of Planning and specific Primavera Contractor coaching.
•Provide training to Engineers on the use of myprimavera.
•Foster/encourage the Team to use the programme as a tool to manage the project

Skills & Experience Required

•Tertiary level qualification in Civil Engineering.
•Previous proven experience of working in a similar role on a Civil Engineering project.
•Must demonstrate a very good understanding of the construction process
•Have a very good understanding of network techniques or Critical Path Methodology.
•Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Earned Value Techniques and preferably have been exposed to a project where EVMS has been implemented.
•Ideally should have an appreciation of how databases work
•Must have a very good working knowledge of MS Office software like Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc.
•Must have experience in use of at least Primavera Project Planner (P3), or Suretrak.
•Knowledge of Primavera Contractor, Primavera Project Manager (also known as P5, P3e) would be an added advantage
•Must be able to interpret and use Engineering drawings in producing realistic construction programmes.
