Job Description
Associate Transport Planner: A leading international multi disciplinary firm requires an Associate level Transport Planner to join their growing office in Suffolk. This prestigious firm have a turnover of £350 million ++ and operations include highways, rail, property, housing, gas, water, and management consultancy in a wide range of disciplines.
The successful Transport Planner will join a vibrant Development Planning Team providing transport advice on numerous high profile developments.
You will be involved in every part of the industry, from road pricing and regional reviews to public transport and planning new developments, and your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
-Delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest specification
-To identify business opportunities and develop long term and profitable relationships
-To secure a consistent business stream with targeted clients from both the private and public sectors, and strengthen existing client base
-To manage and direct technical teams consisting of Transport and Development planners, and other disciplines
Business development will be a key component of this position, and your focus will be on the London and South East markets. You will need to direct projects through managing time, resources and perceived risk to achieve objectives within project constraints
From a technical viewpoint, you will be expected to manage / undertake transport assessments and transport/highway feasibility studies to provide advice to a broad range of private and public sector clients. You will also manage/undertake transport/traffic modelling and provide development/transport planning advice to clients, prepare evidence for planning appeals, public enquiries and tribunals.
As a senior member of the Planning Development team, you will train and act as mentor for more junior staff, encourage and provide opportunities for CPD.
