We are currently recruiting for a Principal Environmental Scientist to work for this large international multi-disciplinary consultancy who provides a comprehensive range of integrated planning, management, engineering and environmental services in the built and natural environments throughout the world.

About the Role
Based from our clients London office you will be a key member of their Mining Group with responsibility for the delivery of Environmental Engineering services to government and industry clients. You will be responsible for providing independent professional opinions on client properties and development projects including, as required: assessments of environmental impacts, permitting and regulatory compliance of proposed and/or existing mining operations, deliver full spectrum EIA's on development projects, manage permitting and regulatory application processes, project closure planning and cost estimation.

You will work on projects around the world and will be required to assess projects in a wide range of international jurisdictions ranging from developed to undeveloped countries.

About You
To be considered for this role you will require extensive progressive experience in mining project environmental engineering and management including: environmental assessment, environmental management systems design, project closure and reclamation, mine project permitting, impact mitigation strategies, mine site closure techniques and technologies, and social impact assessment.

You will have good communication skills both verbal and written, including preparation of technical opinion reports. A business development capability with a client oriented approach.

You will be required to travel nationally and internationally but will be UK based.
