We are urgently seeking a Principal Mining Engineer for the East Midlands area for this well known consulting engineer. Our client is an international consultancy providing a comprehensive range of integrated planning, management, engineering and environmental services in the built and natural environments throughout the world. Their mining division provides services to the mining industry at all stages of project development from exploration and resource evaluation through finance and development to permitting, operation, closure and rehabilitation of mine sites.

About the Role:
As Principal Mining Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the application of the highest professional standards in all aspects of providing top quality consultancy services. You will be working on project reviews involving the full range of mine design, production planning, and economic evaluations. You will be working in a collaborative team environment with professional geologists, metallurgists, environmental scientists, and other senior scientists to provide comprehensive technical support and advice to clients.

About You:
B.Sc. - MINING ENGINEERING.
Chartered or Professional Engineer (licensed by an internationally recognised professional body).
You will be highly experienced in the mining industry, preferably including both open pit and underground operations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong analytical skills are required.
Previous consulting engineering experience including business development and client liaison roles will be a significant advantage.
The position will be based in the UK; however, regular international travel will be required. Secondary language skills beyond English will be an asset.
