PRINCIPAL/ASSOCIATE GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Principal/Associate Geotechnical Engineer to work for this large, reputable consulting engineer. Based from their busy office in the outskirts of London this is a position for someone who wants to push their career forward and who wants to work on a number of prestigious projects on a local and national basis.

About the Role:
This role will be primarily responsible for managing the geotechnical design work in a railway environment. You will manage the work of a geotechnical team in undertaking geotechnical desk studies and feasibility studies, ground investigation, geotechnical design and expert witness work.

About You:
The successful candidate will have significant experience of geotechnical design work particularly for work in a railway environment.

You will have knowledge of geotechnical software (e.g. for retaining wall design, settlement analysis, etc.) and project management experience in connection with the management of geotechnical projects.

Qualifications will include a degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, MSc or equivalent in Geotechnical Engineering, Soil Mechanics or similar and PTS.
You will also need to demonstrate design management ability, have a good understanding of geotechnical risk and marketing/promotional and presentational skills.
