Working with the support of the Technical and Group Director, the role will include monitoring project plans and managing resource requirements on the electrical side of building services. This role combines the taking the responsibility for engineering solutions on multiple projects while ensuring financial success.

As a successful candidate, you will have extensive experience in a design engineering consultancy with proven ability to take responsibility for management of people, client and commercial issues and be able to successfully maintain a monthly operating plan for your team.

Ideally you will have experience with running multiple projects including the financial and technical aspects, invoicing and debt management as well as submissions, proposals and project reviews. You will use your strong leadership skills to provide creative direction to your team, coaching, supporting and encouraging them and where needed recruiting new staff by attending interviews, identify training needs and making resource adjustments.

You will also have excellent communication skills to liaise with other Associate Directors and teams, and a proven ability to maintain relationships and actively win work from new and existing clients. This role requires evidence of effective CPD and prioritising development and maintenance of key client relations to then translate leads into projects and create repeat business.

To be successful you will be a Chartered Electrical Engineer with a relevant degree. Candidates who are further degree qualified will have a distinct advantage.
