QA Engineer – Drainage. New project requires a conscientious and firm person to oversee the installation and testing of cast iron drainage in a new build project.

The Project is a new build Residential scheme with a large basement and considerable areas below ground level, with substantial amounts of RC and Drainage.

The Role is to oversee all the Drainage installation work carried out by the Contractor and to ensure that it is correct before offering it to the Client’s Clerk of Works to sign off.

The Contractor has been established for a number of years and takes a pride in carrying out the work correctly, so is seeking a person who will perform this function diligently.

The Contract is just starting and has some 30 weeks programmed with this role commencing in early January.

You will need to have a good understanding of QA procedures, be knowledgeable of Cast Iron and alternative drainage materials, be experienced in pressure testing procedures, IT literate and able to “stand your ground” to ensure that the works are carried out professionally.

Qualifications are not essential though a Civil Engineering, RE or Clerk of Works background would be ideal. CSCS card is essential, whilst a First Aid qualification would be advantageous as would a Confined spaces ticket.

Payment will be on an hourly basis @ £20 neg.
