The water/infrastructure team in Manchester of an international engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a reservoir engineer to join their team.
This is an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team, carrying out duties of the ‘Supervising Engineer’ appointed under the Reservoirs Act.
The role you will be in involves:

· Contributing to studies for utilities companies, developers and land owners, local authorities, Government organisations, as well as internal clients.
· Design and site supervision of a range of water related projects, such as flood risk assessment, flood alleviation, flood studies, reservoir remedial works, and infrastructure drainage design.
· Outline and detailed design of water and environment related projects.
· Project management of medium scale civil engineering design projects.

Recent reservoir projects in the North West office include Big Wood Reservoir Regeneration, Swinsty Reservoir Outlet Mains Replacement, Washburn Valley Reservoirs Overflow Remedial Works; Feasibility Study, Walshaw Dean Upper Reservoir Remedial Works, Rivelin/Redmires Reservoir Safety Remedial Works, Rivelin/Redmires Reservoir Safety Investigations, Willow Park Reservoir; Overflow Remedial Works.Candidate specification
Essential qualifications, experience, competencies and skills:

Appointment to the Supervising Engineer Panel with respect to the Reservoirs Act.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients.
Needs to be physically fit.
Confined spaces trained.
Have a full, clean driving license.
Desired competencies/skills include:

Chartered Engineer.
Experience of investigation, study and design of water industry or environment agency projects.
Experience in civil engineering at a senior level.
Ability to carry out technical design and report writing.
Ability to work in teams and be a team player.
Experience in Project Management.
