Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a project manager to design, procure and supervise major mechanical engineering projects for a London based local authority.

Duties will include;
•Preparation and implementation of design specifications
•Negotiating contracts for mechanical engineering projects that provide best value for the Council.
•Delivery of Mechanical Engineering Improvement Programmes including input to the Council's Gateway and other approval processes.
•Ensure that adequate records and monitoring systems are in place to ensure that Contractors deliver in accordance with their contracts and that the Council complies with its statutory obligations
•Strategic planning for future investment in heating systems
•In conjunction with the Contract Administration Manager and the Planner provide the financial and programme information required to report progress and expenditure

The successful candidate will have a sound background in Building Services Mechanical Engineering and have previous experience of individual and communal services within social housing to undertake mechanical project management / consultancy role in major investment schemes.
