Quantity Surveyor, Residential multi-storey, Build & Fit out. Substantial multi-million £ scheme. This successful and established Contractor has an immediate requirement on a large multi-storey Residential scheme that is currently “coming out of the ground”. Head office based position, with frequent site visits, for this Contractor who is seeking to grow their Commercial department, with particular emphasis on the Residential build and fit out. Salary will not be a limiting factor for the right person.

The Project is a multi-storey residential scheme with a number of linked towers. The scheme is typical of the current work carried out by this well regarded Contractor and their projects are generally located throughout London within the M25. They are generally RC frame multi-storey schemes, ranging from 4 to 25 floors and up to 500 units. Expertise is sought in the Build and Fit out elements of the schemes.

Working as a Principal Contractor or as the Contractor of choice for the Developer the company is currently working on a number of multi million £ projects with further work coming on stream throughout 2009.

The Position will be Head Office based whilst site visits on a regular basis will be necessary, so a driving licence will be advantageous.

You must have a good Commercial background as well as Design & Build understanding; with the ability to work with the sub contractors to maximise their input at the tendering process as well as utilising their knowledge in the Build and Fit out areas.

Salary. Starting at £50,000 plus with a package that can be tailored to suit the individual’s skills, experience and their ability to provide value added Engineering procedures.

Background. Ideally coming from a strong Residential Building QS background working for one of the Contractors who specialise in multi-storey Residential schemes you will be used to working on substantial developments, especially high level D&B projects. Extensive Qualifications are not essential as ability is preferred; rather long employment periods with main Contractors / Developers will be advantageous.
