Working for a major international infrastructure consultancy with a reputation for delivering global landmark projects and providing total infrastructure solutions for over 150 years. Reporting to the Traffic & Transportation Function Manager you will be required to contribute to the various Traffic and Transportation projects which include, undertaking various elements of Traffic Impact Assessments, modelling of both strategic and junction assessment using conventional and Micro-Simulation packages and the production of various study reports to client satisfaction, using the company standard format. In addition you will be required to promote and maintain the technical excellence in the business by functioning as Project Manager where directed by the Function Manager.
Team management experience and strong communication skills are essential as you will be required to assist the Function Manager to recruit, manage and train the transportation team, whilst assisting with resource management and external communication as required. Previous experience of assisting with sales and marketing to expand client and project base and ability to assist with costs, budgets and project resources would be beneficial. The ability to present technical papers in meetings, conferences and seminars would be desirable.
Successful candidates will need a minimum of 5 years relevant experience (preferably with 2 years in the Middle East) and hold either a, BSc, BEng or MSc in Transportation Studies. A proven track record in the use of various modelling packages is central to the role with experience of SIDRA, SATURN, EMME/2 or PTV Vision (VISEM, VISUM, VISSIM) essential.
