This is an exceptional opportunity working in one of London's most diverse, challenging and busy East London Olympic Boroughs. We are seeking a driven, motivated and innovative Executive Director who is able to come onboard and impress new and essential strategic leadership across the areas of Housing and Public Protection, Criminal and Anti Social Behaviour and Environment.
The successful applicant will provide strategic leadership in the delivery of a portfolio of services. There is a need to develop and then implement suitable policies and strategies for a more holistic approach to these services. As a member of the Executive Board the individual will drive the Council's "Moving to Excellence” agenda and the achievement of the 2010 vision. Main responsibilities will include:
•Budget Monitoring
•Budget setting
•Best Value/Performance Management
•Commissioning
•Policy
•Communications
•Project Management
