Job Title: Consultant Radiologist

Role purpose:
To provide 4 Ways Healthcare Ltd with a professional and efficient radiology reporting service , support the operation of the company business , with special focus to the reporting business based at Hemel Hempstead head quarters.


Clinical Governance:
The post holder will be compliant with 4 WHC Clinical Governance procedures and perform within the set guide lines. These are available from operational manager may include:
• Clinical Governance Framework and strategy
• To work under supervision of CAC and CEO and within the agreed strategy
• Maintain personal ’ Continuing Professional Development’ record
• Attend professional and clinical training programmes as requested.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings at agreed institutes.
• To meet with CAC regularly for appraisal and mentoring
• Participate in all internal and external Clinical Audit programmes and implement according to 4WHC strategy.
• Maintain up to date records of professional certificates and inform 4WHC of annual renewal dates.
• Follow RCR guide lines for best practice models, CPD


Standards , Policies and Procedures:
The post holder is required to be familiar and compliant with 4 WHC operational policies and procedures. They are available and familiarisation will take place during induction . These will include the following:
• The CEO and CAC , take the lead for development of clinical policies and procedures .
• Be proactive in taking the initiative and follow best practice guidelines.
• Be familiar with national and local NHS policy developments which may affect 4 Ways business. Eg ISTC programme
• Follow RCR and other professional bodies guidelines, to ensure you stay at the forefront of clinical development.
• Attend in house induction programmes.
• Rota is within a minimal clinical requirement matrix.
• Ensure you are present during advertised hours of business.
• Follow in house procedures for ‘double reporting’.
• Follow policy for authentication, verification of reports.
• Follow models of standardisation for reporting and transcribing systems.
• Follow the clinical audit procedures, according to defined sample size ,and follow up action.
• Follow the developed process for communicating significant, urgent findings.
• Follow audit turnaround and response time of reports , and audit results.
• With the 4 WHC Team objectively review customer satisfaction measures.
• Support the sales, marketing and operational team to achieve corporate goals.
• Attend internal operational meetings when required.
• Support ISO and Investors in People accreditation programme.
