Job Description

·The post has overall responsibility for the development and implementation of commissioning strategy for people with mental health needs, drugs and alcohol problems within the City and locality. The post holder is also responsible for:
o Support to the Local Implementation Team (mental Health LIT)
oDevelopment of the adult mental health strategy including the psychological therapies and primary care mental health strategies and advising as required on CAMHS and Older People's mental health strategies
oMembership of appropriate partnership groups for mental health, drugs and alcohol services including the development of Section 31/75 pooled budget and integrated service agreements and support for the City and locality Drugs and Alcohol Teams (DAATS) and Joint Commissioning Groups
oImplementation of World Class Commissioning standards for mental health services
oCommissioning secondary mental health services through the Inner East London co-ordinated commissioning arrangements (currently £43 million) including monitoring systems for the reporting and follow-up on Serious Untoward Incidents.
oCommissioning primary, tertiary, voluntary, third sector mental health services and supported housing for the care groups (currently £27 million)
oPCT drugs and alcohol (£7.5million)
