Temporary Works Engineer – Roads, Highways, Motorway
Bedfordshire / Buckinghamshire
Salary up to £45K + package including personal medical cover and company car

Our client; one of the UK's largest main contractors has won a major highway reconstruction contract on one of the countries busiest “A” roads..

As a Temporary Works Engineer your main responsibility will be to provide safe and cost effective temporary works designs for the Civil Engineering site and tender teams in accordance with the companies' agreed procedures and from time to time this may include assessment of buildability of their permanent works.

Your will primarily be responsible for

•Providing temporary works designs.
•Ensuring that relevant design checks are carried out and check certificates are issued
•Managing drafting requirements and drawing issues.
•Supporting the training of graduate engineers.
•Liaising with Permanent Works designers to resolve issues of construction methods and buildability as necessary

The Temporary works Engineer will also liaise with and support other business units both internal and external to include directors, bid managers, estimators, site engineers, permanent works designers and temporary works coordinators:

The Temporary works Engineer will posses the following skills and qualifications.
•Relevant Degree.
•Chartered Engineer or progressing towards Chartered Engineer
Relevant CSCS Card
